They were way busier crawling around on the floor

Last summer I was a 5-Day Club leader at my church. Even though it was a small club, the boys were quite unruly.

Faithfully, the summer missionaries continued to teach the Bible lessons, memory verses and missionary story despite their disruptions.

There were two boys, who did not look like they were paying attention at all. They were way busier crawling around on the floor or yelling to be heard over the summer missionaries.

On the Wednesday of the club, the girls asked if anyone knew the memory verse from the day before. All the kids at the club just sat there quietly, staring blankly.

All of a sudden, one of the boys who had been crawling across the floor said he could and I started staring blankly at him as he said the verse word for word.

Here he was crawling around disturbing the others but also taking in what was being taught.

On the last day of the club, the other boy who had been disruptive was talking to one of the summer missionaries wanting to ask Jesus into his heart.

What felt like an impossible situation was not impossible for God.

I look back and praise God for His faithfulness. Even though we only had six to seven kids attend the club, you could see Him working in every child.
