They chose to be here

They chose to be here

They chose to be here

As we finish up our first week of Summer Ministry Training I can’t help but be grateful, humbled, and inspired by the thirty young people training with us.

Their days are long and free time is short.

They start with morning devotions at 7:30am, and end their day at 11pm every day.

Throughout the day they learn how to prepare Bible lessons, teach memory verses, counsel a child for salvation and more. They put together practicums, study hours a day, participate in club demonstrations, and deal with the heat.

It’s more work than school.

All the while they’re not sleeping in their own beds, around people they don’t know, entirely out of their comfort zone.

In addition to going through all of the above, they’ve also given up a summer with their “usual” friends, opportunities to make money, and do the things “regular” teens like to do.

I don’t know too many young people that would prioritize serving God like that, do you?

We must do everything we can to support those who choose to serve Him faithfully.

Whether you are able to give once, or monthly, we thank you for your unwavering support.
