The world seems to be going crazy.

His government and its peace will never end.  He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity.  Isaiah 9:7a 

The world seems to be going crazy.  All around us is war, poverty, injustice, and natural disasters.  Governments come and go, each one promising answers they are ultimately unable to provide.

But Isaiah reminds us that when Christ comes He will bring the answer.  His government will bring lasting peace and real justice to all.  

Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.  Ephesians 1:21 

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne.  Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants.  Psalm 89:14

The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”  Matthew 8:27

And the best part:  His perfect, loving and just reign will never end!

But to the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever.  You rule with a scepter of justice.  Hebrews 1:8

The significance of Christmas is that Jesus will reign forever with perfect love and justice.  When the world brings only despair, put your hope in Jesus.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven:  “The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.”  Revelation 11:15
