Seeds of Victory!
Former staff member, Daniella Kress, recently shared this observation on social media:
They have probably spent 100 hrs on the lawn – removing the hill, scraping, adding top soil, spreading, planting, picking rocks, and watering.
And finally, it started to grow.
I have put 0 sweat equity into this project, but my mom has put in lots of time.
Do you know who noticed the growth first?
My mom.
And the fruit was teeny tiny. But she noticed.
The growth was significant, even though it was “small” or “insignificant” to me.
As you plant seeds- either by parenting, or serving and loving on kids, youth, the needy, the lost, or doing long term mission work that is not noticeable – be encouraged. God is working in the lives of these people. It took a week and hours of work for the seed to grow, but finally it sprouted through the surface.
And you’ll probably see fruit before others who aren’t as invested. You’ll probably be way more excited than they will be, because you’ve put in the time. Don’t be less excited just because people think the fruit is small.
Even the smallest amount of growth is a victory because it is evidence of God working!
Wouldn’t it be great to be the one to spot it because you’ve invested in it? Wouldn’t it be amazing to be part of what God is doing?
Ask God what He would have you do today, this week, this summer, that will invest in His kingdom. Then step out in faith and ministry. Then watch to see what God will do!
Keep Seeking the Kingdom!
