Pray for the CREW!

Every year I long for hot days, warm evenings, and early morning bird songs. Summer is my season and sometimes it feels like it will never come.

But every year it does. We can count on a new summer every year. We can count on a new sunrise every morning.  

“The rain and snow come down from the heavens
    and stay on the ground to water the earth.
They cause the grain to grow,
    producing seed for the farmer
    and bread for the hungry. 
Isaiah 55:10
 

God keeps everything going. And just as we can count on the rain and sun, we can count on His Word to bring change.

It is the same with my word.
    I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
    and it will prosper everywhere I send it. 
Isaiah 55:11
 

God has called us to share His gospel with the nations. And that includes our neighbours!  

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:8
 

Start at home and spread His Word outward from there.  
 

This summer 29 young people have committed their summer to doing just that. Will you pray for them as they tell people everywhere about Jesus?

For the next two weeks they’ll be in training. Training is a lot of fun, but it is hard work too! They’ll be in classes and practising in small groups. They’ll learn 5 Bible lessons, from preparing the outline to actually teaching them. They’ll learn the missionary story, songs, and object lessons. They’ll learn how to keep kids’ attention, how to lead games, and how to get kids talking in small group. And they’ll learn how to explain the Gospel and lead a child to Christ.
