For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.  Romans 1:16

The most important thing we can do is to give our lives to God. Everything else affects us for a time, but our faith in Jesus affects our present and our eternity.

If this is true for us, it’s true for others as well. Therefore, the most loving thing we can do for someone is to share the Gospel with them.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”  Matthew 9:36-38

When Jesus told His disciples to pray for more workers, He did so out of compassion for the lost. And in His compassion, God calls people to Himself through us, through the love He has given us for the lost.

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”  2 Corinthians 5:20

God is love. To love God is to love others. To love others is to share the Gospel with them.

Is there someone in your life who needs Jesus? What are you doing to show God’s love to them?
