Lessons from an Easter Egg Hunt

I know Easter egg hunts aren’t exactly the “Christian” part of Easter, but have you ever thought about how much they reflect our relationship with our heavenly Father?

The parent scatters different Easter eggs around the house for the child to find – our heavenly Father intentionally places “eggs” throughout our lives that reflect Him and His goodness to us.

When the child finds an Easter egg she wants to look for more – when we discover a glimpse of our heavenly Father we want more.

Sometimes, during the hunt, the child can’t help but stop and eat an Easter egg before looking for more – There are moments in our spiritual journey we just want to stay a little longer in God’s presence, in His Word.

A child finds Easter eggs in different shapes, sizes and colours – we find God’s blessings in our lives comes in different forms.

One difference, however, is that while the child’s hunt will come to an end (albeit with more goodies than they could ever eat) – our experience of God’s goodness never will.

What a promise we have in Jesus, and what opportunity we have to share it with others.

Thank you for being a vital part of helping reach boys and girls with the gospel.

Happy Easter!

Whether you are able to give once, or monthly, we thank you for your unwavering support.
