Giving Back

This week we will hear from Myah Foss, another of our summer interns.

Hi! I’m Myah Foss and this summer I am working as an intern at CEF. I have been volunteering with CEF for nearly 6 years now and every summer I love coming back. 

I wanted to intern this summer because camp is really near and dear to my heart. I grew up in a Christian family and I was always aware of the Gospel and who Jesus is but it wasn’t until I came to camp when I decided to follow Him. It was because of camp that I realized my life isn’t my own, and I dedicated it to the Lord. 

The leaders in my life have played a huge role in my relationship with the Lord. They have shown me what it means to faithfully serve God and to love Him. As I intern this summer I hope to show exactly that to the campers and volunteers.  

It is my prayer that God will use me this summer to work in the lives of the people around me. Through teaching lessons I hope to show the campers what Jesus has done for them on the cross and help lead them to making the decision of following Him with their life. Through leading program activities I hope to faithfully be an example to the volunteers of what serving the Lord wholeheartedly can look like. 

I’m so thankful that God has opened up the opportunity for me to intern with CEF this summer and I can’t wait to see Him at work!

Pray for our three interns, Myah, Amy, and Samantha as they serve with us this summer.  We are so thankful for each of them and the integral part they play on the CEF team.
