Do you ever fear for the future of our kids?
Do you ever ask yourself what you can do to help them?
Over 12 weeks I’ll be sharing one thing you can do to help the kids in your life grow closer to God.
May God give you strength, wisdom, and joy as you reach tomorrow’s hero!

Build a Campfire
Who doesn’t love a good story? Stories inspire us, move us, and teach us. Stories are memorable.
Jesus taught over thirty parables that people could relate to in his time on earth.
Your life is a story that no one else in history will have ever lived. You have a story to tell.
Tell your kids stories of how God has worked in your life.
Coming from a non-Christian home, I’ve shared with my kids how I became a Christian and the impact it had on my life.
I’ve shared how God provided in times of need, or how God directed when I didn’t know what to do for University.
I’ve also shared how I really messed up in ministry, but how God forgave me, helped me learn from it, and move forward.
You don’t need a dramatic salvation story to have something meaningful to share, you just have to have to share what God has done for you.
They will learn so much from your stories. They will learn things like:
- What a vibrant relationship with God looks like
- That God can provide in times of need
- That God can direct them when they’re lost
- That God will forgive them when they’ve messed up
God can use your stories to inspire your kids and to help them grow closer to God. And your kids will be telling their kids stories you told them.
I can’t begin to count the number of times my wife has shared “faith stories” with our kids that came from her parents.
On top of it all, your kids will grow closer to you because you shared personal stories with them.
